These are all the illustrations I made to homage Wisława Szymborska's poem Family Album. In this poem, the author talks about her family as a starting point for broader reflections on existential issues such as life, love and death. 

Memories flow and fade over time, the names and the faces of once loved ones begin to blur with the passing of generations and the photos become populated by unknown "ghosts".

For the illustrations of Family album I concentrated my work on the theme of remembrance. 

Starting from the idea of the poetess traveling inside her family album, I imagined a fictional scrapbook containing old photos, stamps, movie tickets and pressed flowers.
